How do I book a stay at The H&R Caboose Roost?

Is there a minimum stay?

Weekend stays generally require a two-night minimum. Weekday stays may vary depending on availability and the season.
What is your cancellation policy?

The Caboose
How many guests can stay?
The caboose comfortably sleeps up to four guests, with a queen bed in the bedroom and a cozy cupola loft that children and adventurous adults love with a full size mattress.
Does the caboose have a private bathroom?
Yes! The caboose features a squeaky clean private bathroom with a full-size shower.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi and a Smart TV are included.
Is there a kitchen?
The kitchenette includes a microwave, mini refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, dishes, glassware, and basic utensils.
Is the cupola safe?
Yes. The loft features protective railings, but guests should use the ladder carefully. Adult supervision is recommended for young children.
Is the caboose heated and air conditioned?
Yes. A modern mini-split system keeps the caboose comfortable throughout the year.
During Your Stay
Is breakfast included?
We provide fresh muffins for your first morning, along with complimentary coffee, creamers, syrups, and local honey.
Is there a firepit?
Yes! Guests are welcome to enjoy evenings around the firepit under the stars.
What games and activities are available?
Guests enjoy yard games, train books, card games, checkers, Bluetooth speakers, and our Caboose Conductor's Challenge scavenger hunt.
Are there special experiences available?
Yes! We offer curated experiences for birthdays, anniversaries, romantic getaways, family adventures, and more. Custom experiences are also available upon request.
Policies
Are pets allowed?
No. To help maintain a clean and allergy-friendly environment for all guests, pets are not permitted.
Is smoking allowed?
No. Smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere inside the caboose.
Is the caboose accessible?
Because this is an authentic historic railroad caboose, guests should expect stairs to enter the caboose and a ladder to access the cupola loft.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation policies vary depending on where you book. Please review the cancellation policy provided during the booking process.
House Rules
Are parties or events allowed?
No. The H&R Caboose Roost is designed as a peaceful retreat for couples and families. Parties, large gatherings, and unauthorized events are not permitted.
Can children use the cupola loft?
Yes! Children love sleeping in the cupola loft, but adult supervision is recommended when using the ladder and loft area.
Are visitors allowed?
Only registered guests are permitted on the property unless prior approval has been given.
Do I need to do anything before checkout?
We simply ask that guests treat the caboose with care, place used towels in the bathroom, wash any used dishes, and ensure personal belongings are packed before departure. We'll take care of the rest!
Is quiet time observed?
Yes. To respect our neighbors and preserve the peaceful atmosphere, we ask guests to observe quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
Can I climb on the caboose?
For your safety, guests are welcome to enjoy the platform and designated outdoor areas, but climbing on the caboose roof or other exterior structures is not permitted.
